Drive onto bricks to get enough clearance to slide the jack underneath, then lift to your heart's content. That's what I do. For the rear I just use a tiny cheapy Sears jack to lift the car enough to put bricks under the tires so I can get the SUV jack under the diff. Cost for both jacks was like $80, if that. Not a problem with either leaking/breaking in the 7 or so years I've had them both.
